Today, 4pm: Interfaith Peace Vigil to End War Crimes and Stop War Criminals
Press release provided by Victory Ross.
What: Interfaith Peace Vigil to End War Crimes and Stop War Criminals, with speaking, praying/deep intention, singing, and chanting.
When & Where: Today - Tuesday, July 23, 4pm-5pm in front of 130 South Elmwood, Buffalo.
Who: All are welcome to the gathering, put together and/or co-sponsored by Jewish Voice For Peace Buffalo, Riverside Salem UCC/DC, Christian Peace Collective of WNY, Wat Pradtchettharam of America, Peace Action NYS, WNY Peace Center, and others.
Why: War crimes are inhumane - illegal, immoral, traumatic all round (including moral injury). On the eve of war criminal Netanyahu's visit to Washington DC to address Congress, we must stand against these crimes being enabled by our government.
As a war criminal, Netanyahu doesn't deserve the honor of speaking before Congress and should be shunned. Therefore, WNY protestors call on federal representatives Schumer, Gilibrand and Kennedy to boycott Netanyahu's speech. We gather in front of Sen. Schumer's office to protest his extending the invitation despite his clear awareness of Netanyahu's having, as Sen Schumer himself said, "lost his way," and the need for a new leader in Israel.
International Law is vital and must be adhered to by all countries, the U.S.A. included!!! We vigil for an End to War Crimes and to Stop War Criminals.
